At Linguaviva Monferrato, we are passionate about sharing the beauty of the Italian language and the rich culture of the Monferrato region. Whether you start as an absolute beginner or you wish to improve your Italian language skills, we offer engaging and personalised language lessons according to your specific needs and interests.
My name is Daniela Varona, I live with my family in Montiglio Monferrato, in Piedmont (Northwest Italy), not far from Turin and in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Monferrato region, known for its beautiful landscapes, castles, mediaeval churches, and renowned gastronomy.
For many years I lived abroad in several countries (France, Sweden and The Netherlands) and worked in international Companies as an Account Manager for Pan European Accounts.
I have always had a deep love and interest in foreign languages. I am fluent in French and English, and I have very good knowledge of Dutch and Swedish. Passionate about travel and communication, I started teaching Italian during my stay in Sweden. Later in the Netherlands , through my experience as a language trainer at the Dante Alighieri Cultural Association in Amersfoort, the passion for teaching took shape and structure.
Upon returning to Italy, I continued my teaching education and successfully obtained the CEDILS (Certification in Didactics of the Italian language to foreigners) Level II issued by the Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice.
My lessons aim to help students rapidly develop communicative competence, quickly understand usage contexts, and learn to use the language appropriately according to the audience and the circumstances. It is not only important but fun and interesting to engage students in various contexts with locals so they can use the language right away.
I work with small groups, so I can provide individual attention to each participant, including differentiated activities that give adequate space to grammar study as well as written and oral skills development.
For some lesson packages (intensive Learn&Tour), we also include various activities. Whether it’s a wine and cheese tasting, a visit to a special museum or an Infernot (a typical underground construction in Monferrato), a bike ride through the hills, or a Piedmontese cooking lesson (and we still have so many things to show you!), there will always be an opportunity to speak Italian with a real Italian! And what’s better than a stimulating activity in a fun environment to foster interest, curiosity, and thus motivation – at any age – to acquire the language?
